Antique Rococo Carved Sofa Table BG273-29

The gorgeous antique sofa table design is highly decorative with elaborate, deeply carved scrollwork along the apron and legs. The legs themselves are substantial and feature similarly ornate carvings, cabriole-like curves and stylized paw feet. This style suggests influences of Baroque or Rococo periods, known for their opulent ornamentation.  The tabletop is a single piece of wood with a relatively simple with aq beveled edge to contrast with the detailed base. It has a warm, aged patina.

The table exudes a sense of grandeur and craftsmanship. It's a statement piece designed to draw attention. The level of carving suggests high quality piece when it was originally made and continues to bring a substantial and opulent feel to any room.
