Crafted in France, circa 1890, and built of beautiful pine and walnut, the antique wine tasting table features a oval table top surface over a wedge trestle base and rotating lyre shape stretcher.  Popular in the wine growing regions of France, this kind of table was used each year in all the wineries as connoisseurs tasted the new vintage. In traditional form, these wine tasting tables were covered with plastic table cloths, and then cheese and wine were served.
