Hand Painted Dome Blanket Chest w/Iron Strap and Hardware - MS158-16

Description: Wood chest constructed with metal strap with a dome top, two iron handles to either side, painted in a muted green/red distressed floral and bird designs to front and top. Red stylized stripe division along center of dome top and front with a border edge on lid, front and sides.  Lacking key, metal strapping has degarded in 2 areas, and only minor paint loss and wood loss. Late 19th/Early 20th Century.

Condition: Item is in very good condition with only minor superficial signs of wear associated with age and use.
