19th Century Chinese Export Single Sided Floral and Butterfly Fan VR49-10893

Description : This hand painted fan presents a single butterfly with trailing floral spray on a simple light cream background with carved sticks and outer guards. The beautiful deep cream field is a perfect background for the single reddish brown butterfly contrasted by the light green and lavender floral spray. The fan is held together at the lower pivot with a silver metal loop handle.
