Description : Anatoly Metlan was born in Yalta in 1964. From a young age he showed artistic abilities therefore he went to art school, and later on studied at the Krivoi Rog University in the Ukraine. During his schooling he began to show his art in exhibitions, and in 1989 he was accepted into the National Artists Guild in the Ukraine. Furthermore, after the collapse of the USSR, Metlan and his family moved to Israel in 1991 where he still lives today. Metlan’s art is inspired by traveling and the cultural experiences he gains through these trips. His most famous works include landscape paintings of the Mediterranean and paintings of dancers from Spanish-speaking cultures all done in vivid rich colors.
